INSTANEX: The Instanex Retail 15 portfolio was up 2.39%, indicating strong speculator participation, and the Instanex FII Index closed 2.11% higher at 220.38. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) seem to have sold into the strength and the Instanex DII 15 portfolio was up only 1.48% while broad-based Nifty was up 1.30% and Sensex was up 1.99%. The other Instanex Ownership Indices were up as well - the Instanex Top 15 portfolio was up 1.60% and the Instanex Promoter 15 portfolio was up 1.08
Out of the 15 components of the Instanex FII Index, eight were up while seven were down. The top gainers were HDFC (+6.70%; weight 12.12%), ICICI Bank (+5.07%; weight 6.84%) and Infosys (+3.88%; weight 12.49%) and the main losers were Sun Pharma (-4.23%; weight 2.00%) and BHEL (-2.15%; weight 5.55%).
