INSTANEX: At close, FII seem to have sold, the Instanex FII Index was down 2.07% at 260.89 (-2.43% at 3 pm) outperforming Sensex which was down 1.98% (-2.42% at 3 pm) and Nifty which was down 1.72% (-2.19% at 3 pm). The Instanex DII 15 portfolio was down 1.58% (-1.95% at 3 pm) indicated that they were not sellers in this rally. The other Instanex Ownership Indices were also down – the Instanex Retail 15 portfolio was down 1.42% (-1.78% at 3 pm), the Instanex Promoter 15 portfolio was down 1.24% (-1.63% at 3 pm) and the Instanex Top 15 portfolio was down 1.10% (-1.50% at 3 pm).
Out of the 15 components of the Instanex FII Index, 13 were down and two were up. The main losers were ICICI Bank (-5.19%; weight 8.61%), HDFC (-4.19%; weight 11.83) and BHEL (-3.44%; weight 5.25%) and the two gainers were HUL (+0.98%; weight 3.06%) and L&T (+0.42%; weight 3.22%).
