Bharat Heavy Electricals posted a net profit of Rs 470.59 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 384.41 crore in the same quarter previous year. This translates to a 22 per cent rise in net profit.

 

Total Income has increased to Rs 5898.51 crore in the April-June quarter from Rs 4620.98 crore a year ago.

Shares of the BHEL fell 3 per cent to Rs 2146 after its results fell short of street expectations.
