Airtel will be spending Rs.25,000 crore this fiscal year, in expanding and strengthening its 4G network.
Nilanjan Roy, Bharti Airtel Chief Financial Officer stated, “Considering the data explosion in India to accelerate our 4G roll out in terms of coverage and also build additional capacities in existing geographies our capex forecast for the year is being upped from initial guidance of Rs 20,000 crore to Rs 25,000 crore.”
Moreover, in the next 3-4 years the company is likely to close down its 3G network and will be reframing the spectrum associated with its 4G services.
