Bajaj Auto 11% Increase in October sales at 512,038 units

Bajaj Auto Limited on Monday reported that its total vehicle sales in October increased 11 per cent to 512,038 units. It has sold 463,208 units in the same month a year-ago, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The automaker’s domestic sale for the October month was 1 per cent up at 281,160 units, as compared to 278,776 units in the previous year period. Its motorcycle sales grew 18 per cent at 470,290 units in October against 398,913 units in October last year. The company’s Pulsar brand recorded a sale of over 170,000 units in October, it added.
Commercial vehicle sales declines 35 per cent at 41,746 units compared to 64,295 units in the year-ago period. Its total vehicle exports were v25 per cent up at 230,878 units, as compared to 184,432 units in the same month a year-ago.
The Pune-based automaker, Bajaj Auto Ltd. is a part of the Bajaj Group and was founded in 1940 by Jamnalal Bajaj. Bajaj Auto is an Indian multinational that manufactures two-wheeler and three-wheeler such as motorcycles, scooters and auto rickshaws.
