Bajaj Corp is planning to go for acquisition, tap rural areas for growth

Bajaj Corporation Ltd (BCL), the FMCG firm is planning to pursue acquisitions targeting niche brands and tap rural areas to push growth, mainly in light hair oil segment in which it plans to have a market share of 65 percent.

The company in its hair care portfolio has key brands, Almond Drops, Brahmi Amla, Jasmine, Kailash Parbat, Amla Shikakai. It said that it “will seek inorganic growth opportunities in the FMCG and hair oil market as part of growth strategy.”

The company has said in an investor presentation that “The inorganic growth opportunities will focus on targeting niche brands, which can benefit from BCL’s strong distribution network so that they can be made pan India brands”.
