Zydus Pharmaceuticals (USA) Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cadila Healthcare, has got final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to market Nifedipine extended release tablets.

This drug is used for treating hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina (chest pain). The tablets are available in the strengths of 30 mg, 60 mg, and 90 mg.

Further, the company will produce the tablets at the group’s formulations manufacturing facility at SEZ, Ahemdabad.
