Former CEO of ICICI Bank Chanda Kochhar appeared before the Enforcement Directorate’s office in the probable connection with bank loan fraud and money laundering case registered against her, on Monday. Official sources said Kochhar arrived in Khan Market shortly before her scheduled appearance time of 11 AM.
Sources further added, that Kochhar is required to assist in examining process with the officers in taking the probe forward and her statements will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Earlier, her brother-in-law Rajiv Kochhar has been interrogated by Enforcement Directorate and Chanda Kochhar’s husband Deepak Kochhar has also been beckoned in the same case.
There has been a case registered under PMLA earlier this year against Chanda Kochhar, Deepak Kochhar, Dhoot and others to probe alleged irregularities and corrupt practices in sanctioning of Rs 1875 crore loans by the Bank to the commercial group.
