Coal India’s Output During The April-December Period Rises

Coal India (CIL) has announced that its output during the April-December period of the current fiscal year has increased by 7.4 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

The state-controlled Coal India reported a net output at 412.42 million tonne (MT) during the period under review as against the recorded production of 383.92 MT during the corresponding period of 2017-18.

As per the coal India statement, its coal output in December was down by 0.9 percent at 54.13 MT. The company had previously recorded an output of 54.63 MT in December 2017. The coal offtake by the public sector undertaking registered a growth of 5.5 percent to 444.59 MT during the April-December period.
