Eros International Falls 5%, Media Shares Decline

In Monday’s afternoon session, media shares were trading in the negative zone. Shares of Eros International Media were down by 4.91 per cent, Den Networks down by 2.67 per cent, TV Today Network down by 3.23 per cent and Network 18 Media and Investments down by 2.61 per cent.
The media shares were comparatively trading lower. Also, DB Corp was down by 1.24 per cent, Zee Media Corporation down by 0.43 per cent, TV18 Broadcast down by 1.38 per cent and PVR was down by 0.31 per cent too were trading with losses. Meanwhile, the Nifty Media index was trading 1.12 per cent up at 2042.70 around 12:27 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 85.25 points at 11,334 while the BSE Sensex was down 332.26 points at 38,004.75. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
