India aims to build a pipeline for carrying high-speed diesel (HSD) to Bangladesh that is similar to a project that has been announced by it last week for supply of fuel to Nepal.
The cross border pipeline will be running from Siliguri in West Bengal to Parbatipur in northern Bangladesh.
HSD, until the project is completed, will be transported from Assam’s Numaligarh Refinery to Bangladesh through rail and one such consignment will be flagged off by the two prime ministers.
