ITC reported 5.59% year on year (YoY ) increase in Q2 profit at Rs.2,640 crore.
It had posted Rs.2,500 crore net profit in the same quarter last year.
As per ITC, its sales from cigarette segment fell down to Rs 4,554.21 crore for the September quarter from Rs 8,528 crore in the same quarter last year.
Further it stated that, hotel business posted a flat growth in revenue at Rs 300 crore; revenue for agri business rose marginally to Rs 1967.41 crore and paperboard business at Rs 1,309.41 crore too fell on YoY basis.
