Despite a week-on-week loss the overall movement in the week ending Saturday, February 6, 2009 remained positive for the market.
The forthcoming week (February 9 – February 15) may display some strength. The market will eagerly wait for the industrial production data for the month of December, which is due on Thursday. Inflation figure for the week ended January 31 is also due on the same day and should fall sharply, factoring in the effects of fuel price cut.
Furthermore, Investors may step into the forthcoming week with a tinge of optimism amid hopes that the interim budget for fiscal year 2009-2010 will bring some cheer and relief to crises- hit sectors like Shipping, infrastructure, real estate and Metals.
