Maruti Suzuki India Sold Over 70,000 Units of Super Carry

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said that it has sold 70,000 units of its light commercial vehicle Super Carry in the Indian market as it completes four years of launch. The auto major forayed into the commercial vehicle segment with its Super Carry model in 2016.
Till now, Super Carry has empowered more than 70,000 owners with its customised experiences in line with versatile business needs. In 2019-20, it has recorded a market share of 15 per cent and nearly about 20 per cent in 2020-21, the company said in a statement.
Shashank Shrivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. said that Super Carry is specifically engineered for the Indian mini-truck customer who value superior mileage and it has fulfilled its promises. It has created a specific niche for itself within a short period of time and has become the second best-selling light commercial vehicle model, he said.
“The introduction of the competitively priced BS-VI compliant S-CNG variant coupled with the government’s renewed focus on CNG fuel availability will further strengthen the Super Carry brand,” he added.
Earlier this year, the company has launched BS-VI compliant S-CNG variant of Super Carry priced at Rs 5.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is powered with a 4 cylinder S-CNG dual-fuel engine and equipped with a 5-liter petrol tank. The mini-truck comes with an array of safety and convenience features and used across multiple applications like e-commerce, FMCG, goods distribution and courier, among others.
