Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates Projects Worth Rs 20,000 Crore

Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 11 National Highway projects, as a part of new economic corridor worth about Rs 20,000 crore in Haryana through webcast, on Tuesday.
These projects will focus on infrastructure and, is expected to increase economical activities, generating employment and boosting demand, during the time when the Indian economy is expected to contract due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will also help the people of Haryana by providing smooth connectivity within the State, and with other states like Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
The project includes the 35.45 km four-lane Rohna to Jhajjar section of NH 334B worth Rs 1,183 crore, 70 km four-laning of Punjab-Haryana border to Jind section of NH 71 worth Rs 857 crore and, the 85.36km two-lane Jind-Karnal highway on NH 709 costing Rs 200 crore.
The foundation stone has been laid for the projects which include the 227 km six-lane access-controlled greenfield expressway from Ismailpur to Narnaul on NH 152D in eight packages costing Rs 8,650 crore, the 46 km four-lane Gurugram Pataudi-Rewari section of NH 352W costing Rs1,524 crore, the 14.4km four-lane Rewari Byepass costing Rs 928 crore, 30.45 km four-lane Rewari-Ateli Mandi section of NH 11 costing Rs 1,057 crore, the 40.47 km four-lane UP-Haryana Border to Roha on NH 334B costing Rs 1,509 crore.
Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana, said these projects will have a positive impact on both the industry as well as the businesses in the State. He also informed that 29406 km long roads were developed and improved in the State during the last five years. Now, these vast projects will help in the advancement of networking and transportation facilities across states.
