Rajiv Bansal, a senior IAS officer has taken the interim Chairman and Managing Director of Air India.

Rajiv Bansal has replaced Ashwani Lohani who has assumed office as Railway Board Chairman.

Bansal, soon after assuming office, held meetings with senior officials of the national carrier.

Rajiv Bansal, Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor at the petroleum ministry, has been appointed as Air India’s interim CMD on Wednesday.
