Shriram Rayons has got the environmental clearance for capacity expansion of rayon tyre cord and captive power generation at its Kota unit in Rajasthan, entailing a cost of Rs 163 crore.
A senior official has said that for meeting the growing demand of this product, Shriram Rayons which is a unit of DCM Shriram Industries, has proposed to expand its production capacities in Rajasthan.
“Based on the recommendations of the Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC), the Environment Ministry has given green clearance to the Shriram Rayons’ expansion project,”he said.
