Vodafone invests Rs 1,000 crore for ramping up the network in Mumbai

Vodafone India said on Tuesday that it has invested more than Rs 1,000 crore for the purpose of ramping up network as well as retails presence during the last fiscal in Mumbai.

“We have invested over Rs 1,000 crore on non-spectrum related programme, which includes ramping up (of) network and distribution and retail presence in Mumbai circle over the past 12 months (April 2014-March 2015) and we will continue to invest more in the coming years,” Vodafone India Business Head, Mumbai circle, Ishmeet Singh said.

“We remain committed to continue investing in bringing the best in class, innovative, relevant products and services to win customer delight in the years to come,” Singh said.

“Although launch of 4G service is on our radar and it will take at an appropriate time, we still see big growth opportunity in 3G and voice data services,” he added.
