INSTANEX: At close, FII seem to have sold, the Instanex FII Index was down 2.07% at 260.89 (-2.43% at 3 pm) outperforming Sensex which was down 1.98% (-2.42% at 3 pm) and Nifty which was down 1.72% (-2.19% at 3 pm). India's Inflation rose to 0.70% for the week ended April 25, 2009, above the previous week's Inflation of 0.57%, government data showed on Friday. The annual inflation rate was 8.27 percent during the corresponding week of the previous year. The wholesale price index is more closely watched than the consumer price index, which is published monthly, because it covers a higher number of products and is released weekly.

The country's largest real estate firm, DLF, may have to pay Rs 400 crore in additional tax following a special audit of its books for the assessment year 2005-06 by the income-tax department. Strides Arcolab starts Tamiflu generic supply

Strides Arcolab Ltd said on Tuesday it has started commercial supplies of oseltamivir capsules, a generic of Roche's Tamiflu anti-viral drug that has been shown to work against the H1N1 flu, to various countries. Bangalore-based Strides is one of the few manufacturers in India approved to make the generic equivalent of Roche's Tamiflu. It gearing up to produce more than 2 million doses of the generic drug per month from June, it said in a statement.
