Telangana caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is all set to come back in power and form government in the state for the second time. According to the Election Commission website, KCR led Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) won 88 seats of the 119 assembly seats.
Telangana which is the youngest state of India was supposed to have its second election in May 2019 but went to polls on December 7 to elect its second assembly. The chief minister of the state, K Chandrasekhar Rao, had earlier dissolved the assembly in September 2018 and announced for an early election.
Telangana which was created in 2014 witnessed its first election. According to the Election Commission report, around 70 per cent people exercised their voting rights in Telangana Assembly Elections.
