The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched ‘Give It Up’ campaign before three months and till now only 0.35 percent of the domestic LPG consumers have gave up using subsidised cooking gas.

In last week’s review meeting chaired by Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, it was informed that out of the 15.3 crore LPG consumers just over 5.5 lakh have voluntarily surrendered the subsidised LPG.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched ‘Give It Up’ campaign in March by which the subsidy is better targeted to the needy.
