The share price of National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has extended gains on Friday as the government has launched the schemes for building smart cities and other urban renewals.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) Smart Cities Mission and Housing for All schemes for the purpose of ensuring basic infrastructure and sanitation in the country, and added that two crore new houses will be built for urban poor.

Modi said that “AMRUT will build 2 crore houses for urban poor. Every urban poor will be able to hold a house.”
