Cloud telephony company Exotel raised $35 million in a Series C funding round, led by Sistema, CX Partners and existing investor A91 Partners. IIFL, Synergy Capital, and Blume Ventures also participated in the round. The firm is trying to become a full-stack client engagement service provider for enterprises in growing economies. It plans to use the funds to buy contact centre software provider Ameyo and invest in future growth.

As of late, thereβs no public cloud contact centre in India. You either had a Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), or you had a contact centre software professionals. βWeβre trying to bring Ameyo on top of our infrastructure, so we can use Ameyo to complete the cloud without any hardwareβ, Shivakumar Ganesan, co-founder and CEO of Exotel, said. He said both Exotel and Ameyo are trying to bring a lot of investment than before as they are in growth mode.
