Zyngo, a technology-enabled third-party logistics service provider, said it would deploy more than 18,000 electric vehicles in the country for last-mile deliveries as part of its fleet expansion plan.

Zyngo EV Mobility said that these delivery vehicles would be deployed across India by the end of the fiscal year, leased/procured by the company from various original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the country.

Zyngo has been servicing several major e-grocery and e-commerce platforms with a fleet spanning Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Chandigarh. This fiscal year, the company said it plans to enter other markets such as Pune, Ahmedabad, Indore, Chennai, Lucknow and Bhopal while expanding its electric vehicle fleet to existing and new locations.

The company said it has been working with these OEMs based on strong service level agreements (SLAs), in which the entire maintenance and service of the vehicle is the responsibility of the respective OEM.
