PM Modi had called Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for support to Dhankhar. In 2019, Jagdeep was appointed as the Governor of West Bengal.
Union Minister Margaret Alva has been named a Joint candidate for a vice presidential election. On Tuesday, Alva will file her nomination. On August 6, 2022, sixteen vice president election has announced by Election Commission.

In 2017, the NDA nominated Venkaiah Naidu as its candidate for the vice-presidential election, and he went on to become India’s 15th vice president. On August 10, his term ends.
Yashwant Sinha is the candidate of the Opposition parties for the presidential election, while Draupadi Murmu is NDA’s presidential candidate. On July 18, the Presidential election will take place.
