Workplace, a digital platform from Meta, will be used by Air India to communicate with its more than 11,000 workers. The airline, a part of the Tata group, anticipates that its most recent move would give Air India’s staff access to a platform that encourages more open communication and information sharing within and across all levels of the organisation.
Air India stated in a joint statement on Tuesday that it had chosen Workplace from META to connect and engage with its over 11,000 workers.
It is anticipated that the platform would dismantle organisational silos, remove rigid hierarchies, and increase employee involvement across time zones and borders.
The airline is becoming wholly integrated into the Tata group after many years as a government-run enterprise. “Such a transition of our famous airline requires continual communication and collaboration among our diverse workforce base, which adds to organisational alignment in support of our transformation strategy,” said Air India’s Chief Digital and Technology Officer Satya Ramaswamy on Tuesday. gives.”
Pilots and cabin crew who do not frequently visit the office will benefit the most from the change. With the newly introduced platform, the broad group of pilots and personnel, which includes cabin crew, engineers, commercial specialists, information techs, ground handling experts, and others, will be better and more aggressively engaged.
“We think Workplace can be very important in the future in supporting Air India’s staff by offering a connected experience. According to Ajit Mohan, vice president and managing director of Meta India, “We are dedicated to promoting Air India’s services around the world.” We look forward to working together on an ongoing mission to provide teams with the finest employee experience.
