A four percent fall in crude steel production has been registered by JSW steel for August, 2015 at 10.66 lakh tonnes against 11.16 lakh tonnes in the same month of previous year.

The company said in a regulatory filing, the production of flat rolled products registered a 4 percent decline at 8.46 lakh tonnes in August, 2015 as compared to 8.80 lakh tonnes in the corresponding month last year.

The production of long rolled products, however registered a rise of 3.57 percent at 2.03 lakh tonnes in August this year against 1.96 lakh tonnes in corresponding month of last year.
