On Monday, Aditya Birla Chemical Ltd (ABCL) said that the acquisition of the chlor alkali division of Jayshree Chemicals Ltd has been completed by the company.

ABCL in a regulatory filing said, “..henceforth the said division is part and unit of the Company and unit at Ganjam has been named as Aditya Birla Chemicals (India) Ltd – Ganjam Chemical Division.”

Jayshree Chemicals’ chlor alkali division comprises caustic soda manufacturing unit at Ganjam in Odisha and salt manufacturing facility at Pundi in Andhra Pradesh.
