Shares of Strides Pharma Science Ltd soared 3% on Wednesday 30 April after the company’s US-based affiliate acquired four ANDAs for the US market from Nostrum Laboratories Inc.

Strides Pharma Inc., the company’s step-down wholly owned subsidiary in the United States, has purchased four authorized ANDAs for the US market from Nostrum Laboratories, Inc.

The portfolio includes liquids and instant release solid orals in the therapeutic category for treating infections linked with UTIs (Urinary Tract Infections), pain management, allergy symptoms, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ ADHD), and narcolepsy, according to the business.

The acquisition of ANDAs will cost USD 2.075 million (about Rs 176 million). The company’s access to these products will allow it to grow its portfolio of unique and difficult-to-manufacture products.

Two of the four ANDAs acquired are already commercialized products and are expected to be launched within the next 12 months. These additions will enable Strides to broaden its range of niche and complex-to-manufacture formulations.

According to 2025 IQVIA data, the combined market size of the acquired products is approximately $57 million. The total acquisition cost for these ANDAs stands at $2.075 million (Rs 17.6 crore).
