The GIFT Nifty futures, which are an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, were trading lower by 14 points at 24,860, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Monday.
Earlier on Friday, 25 July, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 721 points or 0.88%, and settled at 81,460, while the Nifty50 traded 0.90% lower or 225 points, closing at 24,837.

Alembic Pharmaceuticals: Alembic Pharmaceuticals has secured final approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) concerning Carbamazepine extended-release tablets. These tablets function as an anticonvulsant and help treat pain related to true trigeminal neuralgia. According to IQVIA, Carbamazepine recorded an estimated market size of $71 million over the 12 months ending March 2025.
VA Tech Wabag: VA Tech Wabag has bagged a Rs 380 crore order from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), funded by the World Bank. The contract requires the company to design, engineer, construct, and commission wastewater treatment plants with tertiary treatment features, biogas generation, solar sludge drying beds, intermediate pumping stations, and related piping works.
Concord Biotech: Concord Biotech has successfully completed the Russian GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) inspection at its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing unit in Dholka, Gujarat. Officials conducted the inspection between 22 July and 25 July.
Dr Reddyβs Lab: Dr Reddyβs Laboratories has invested Rs 565.4 crore in its step-down wholly-owned subsidiary, Dr Reddyβs Laboratories LLC in Russia, acquiring a 45.19% equity stake.
RITES: RITES has received a Letter of Intent from Bharat Electronics (BEL) for a Rs 177.2 crore project. The project entails providing design services, project management consultancy (PMC), and overseeing the construction of a mass manufacturing facility for the EM SBU at BELβs Palasamudram location in Andhra Pradesh.
JSW Energy: JSW Energy has received approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Hyderabad, to withdraw the corporate insolvency resolution process application for KSK Water Infrastructures under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. The company will now proceed with implementing the settlement plan.
