Shares of BEML Ltd are trading flat after touching a dayβs high of Rs 3,966 on 12th August, despite the company announcing that it had received an order worth approximately Rs 1,888 crore from Integral Coach Factory. The contract encompasses the manufacture, supply, testing, and commissioning of fully functional Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches.
BEML First Quarter Results
BEML reported a net loss of Rs 64 crore in Q1, compared to a loss of Rs 70.5 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company was expected to post a smaller EBITDA loss due to better operating leverage, but reported a loss of Rs 49 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 50.1 crore in the previous year.
Revenue for the quarter stayed flat at Rs 634 crore, missing the expected Rs 689 crore (9% growth). Sequentially, revenue fell over 60%.
