Shares of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) are trading flat after touching a day’s high of Rs 3,096.40 on 12th August. This is despite the company announcing a partnership with Philippines-based NOW Corporation’s telecom arm, NOW Telecom.

TCS has partnered with Philippines-based NOW Corporation’s telecom arm, NOW Telecom, to strengthen the country’s digital and cloud infrastructure. The deal aims to improve data security, build resilient systems against cyber threats, and maintain sovereign control over critical infrastructure.

The companies will develop secure, scalable infrastructure in line with the Philippines government’s ICT guidelines and clean network principles. They will deploy TCS’s SovereignSecure Cloud to ensure local data control, support AI development, and enable operational continuity.

Both TCS and NOW Telecom are members of the Trusted Network Alliance, promoting secure global telecom networks. TCS Philippines Country Head Shiju Varghese said the partnership will help build a secure digital ecosystem. Furthermore, it will advance the country’s digital transformation.

Last month, TCS announced plans to cut its global workforce by 2% over the next year. This is part of a broader transformation focused on emerging technologies, AI, market expansion, and infrastructure revamp.

At 3:14 PM, the shares of TCS were trading 0.25% lower at Rs 3,033.20 on NSE.
