Shares of Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd soared 6% on 18 August after the company announced that its material subsidiary, Fleur Hotels Ltd, received a Letter of Award from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on 14 August 2025.
In its regulatory filing, the company said that Fleur Hotels has secured a letter from DDA after being named the successful bidder for the licence rights to a prime 2.256-acre land parcel in Nehru Place, New Delhi.
The license allows the corporation to create and operate a 5-star hotel under its upper-upscale brand, Aurika. The hotel, to be called “Aurika, Nehru Place,” will be the brand’s first in the National Capital Region. The Letter of Award is valid for 12 months from the date of issuance, subject to the DDA’s and the tender papers’ terms and restrictions.
According to the firm, the project would include all aspects of the hotel’s development and operation on the approved site. The Aurika at Nehru Place will have around 500 rooms, making it one of Delhi’s largest hotels, and will provide premium accommodations, signature dining, extensive banqueting facilities, and recreational services.
Designed in the style of Aurika, Mumbai SkyCity, it would combine grandeur with a distinct Delhi flair, serving both sophisticated business travellers and recreational guests.
Patanjali Keswani, Chairman and Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels, said, “Delhi has always been a strategic focus for us. Aurika’s entry will deliver a luxury experience that’s about living, not just staying – a landmark in style, comfort, and service for the region.”
At 11:58 am, the shares of Lemon Tree were trading 5.76% higher at Rs 153.62 on NSE.
