An Air India flight from Mumbai to Jodhpur aborted its takeoff on Friday, 22nd August, due to a technical issue, the airline said in a statement.
The flight, AI645, was scheduled to depart from Mumbaiβs Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport at 9:15 AM and land in Jodhpur at 11:05 AM. However, during takeoff, the pilots noticed an operational issue and decided to discontinue the takeoff run, following standard procedures. The aircraft was then brought back to the bay.
Air India confirmed that alternative arrangements were made to ensure passengers could continue their journey. The same aircraft later took off from Mumbai at 12:46 PM and landed safely in Jodhpur at 2:30 PM.
The airline stated that the safety of passengers was never compromised, noting that the Airbus A320neo was operated strictly in accordance with standard safety guidelines.
