Linde India Ltd, a major industrial gas company, stated on Monday, 15 September, that commercial production has begun at its new gas facility in Unnao, Lucknow.

The factory is intended to meet both industrial and medicinal needs, with a focus on increasing storage, handling, and distribution capacities. In a regulatory filing, the business stated that the new plant will greatly increase the supply of bulk gases, which are vital for hospital operations and a variety of industrial applications.

Linde India has a substantial presence in Uttar Pradesh, delivering medical gases to major government and private institutions for over two decades.

Linde India has also adapted to changing market realities. The company’s June quarter net profit decreased by 5.7% to Rs 107.1 crore from Rs 113.6 crore the previous year. Revenue decreased by 12.6% to Rs 571 crore from Rs 653 crore, indicating lower demand.

During the same period, the company’s operational performance increased. EBITDA increased 7.1% to Rs 196.8 crore from Rs 183.7 crore, with margins increasing to 34.5% from 28.1% last year. Despite top-line pressure, margin improvement indicates increased efficiency and better cost control.
