Shares of NCC Ltd rose 2% to a dayβs high of Rs 222.31 on 16th September after the company announced it had received a Letter of Acceptance from the Water Resources Department of Bihar for constructing the Barnar Reservoir Scheme in Jamui district.
NCC Ltd has won a Rs 2,090.5 crore contract (excluding GST) to build the Barnar Reservoir Scheme in Jamui, Bihar. The project includes the reservoir, dam structures, irrigation channels, and related works. It will take 30 months to complete, with a 60-month defect liability period.
This win adds to NCCβs recent big orders. In June, it secured Rs 1,690.5 crore in building projects from state agencies and a private firm, and a Rs 2,269 crore contract from the MMRDA for Mumbai Metro Line 6 work.
However, the June quarter showed some pressure. NCCβs Q1FY26 net profit fell 8.4% to Rs 192.1 crore, while revenue slipped 6.3% to Rs 5,179 crore.
At 12:56 PM, the shares of NCC were trading 1.96% higher at Rs 216.25 on NSE.
