The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 120 points at 24,810, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Monday.

Earlier on Friday, 26 September, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 733 points or 0.90%, and settled at 80,426, while the Nifty50 traded 0.95% lower or 236 points, closing at 24,655.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 29 September.

Waaree Energies: The US authorities are investigating Waaree Energies, India’s largest solar panel maker, for allegedly bypassing anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Chinese and Southeast Asian solar cells by mislabelling them as Indian-made. Waaree said it had cooperated with past probes and would continue to assist with the ongoing investigation.

HDFC Bank: The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) barred HDFC Bank’s DIFC branch from onboarding new clients, effective 25 September 2025. HDFC confirmed that the DFSA directive prevents the Dubai branch from soliciting or conducting business with customers who had not completed onboarding by that date.

Azad Engineering: Azad Engineering secured a Rs 651 crore Long-Term Contract & Price Agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Japan. The deal covers the supply of complex rotating and stationary airfoils for advanced gas and thermal power turbine engines to meet global power generation demand.

BEML: BEML, Bharat Forge, and Data Patterns (India) signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme and participate in the Expression of Interest floated by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA).

Godrej Agrovet: Godrej Agrovet signed an MoU with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) to set up manufacturing and upstream innovation facilities with an investment of Rs 960 crore.

Vascon Engineers: Vascon Engineers signed a five-year MoU with Adani Infra (India) to act as an execution partner under an Early Engagement Model. The partnership allows Vascon to integrate design and execution from the outset of select projects. Three projects covering 13.15 million sq. ft in Mumbai have already been identified under this model.

Power Grid Corporation of India: Power Grid Corporation’s Board cleared two projects worth Rs 705.5 crore. The first project, valued at Rs 209.68 crore, will roll out a VOIP Communication System for Grid Operations across five regions. The second, worth Rs 495.83 crore, will implement a Disaster Preparedness plan that includes procuring 20 sets (300 towers) of Emergency Restoration Systems under the Make in India initiative.

Godawari Power & Ispat: Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd (GPIL) launched an internal inquiry after six people died in a furnace accident at its Raipur plant in Chhattisgarh on Friday. Police said the incident killed four officials and two workers, while six others, including a general manager, sustained injuries.
