Commercial LPG cylinder prices have been revised again, with the cost of a 19 kg cylinder increased by Rs 15.50, effective from 1st October. In Delhi, this translates to a retail price of Rs 1,595.50 for a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder.
Domestic LPG rates, used by households, remain unchanged at Rs 853 for a 14.2 kg cylinder. The last domestic price hike was in April, when rates rose by Rs 50 per cylinder. Earlier, on 1st September, commercial LPG cylinder prices had been reduced by Rs 51.50.
Meanwhile, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), also known as jet fuel, has increased by over 3%. In the national capital, ATF rates increased by Rs 3,052.5 per kilolitre, or 3.3%. This brings the cost to Rs 93,766.02 per kilolitre. This follows a 1.4% (Rs 1,308.41 per kl) reduction in September.
ATF prices in other major cities also rose. Mumbaiβs rate increased to Rs 87,714.39 per kl from Rs 84,832.83 per kl. Meanwhile, Chennai and Kolkata saw rates climb to Rs 96,816.58 and Rs 97,302.14 per kl, respectively.
State-owned fuel retailersβIndian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL)βreview and revise ATF and cooking gas prices on the first of every month. Adjustments are based on the average international fuel prices. They also consider the prevailing foreign exchange rates.
