Shares of Power Mech Projects Ltd soared 5% on 15 October after the company announced securing a significant Rs 2,500 crore order.

The company announced in an exchange filing that it has received a Rs 2,500 crore order from state-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. This project includes the EPC package for the balance of plants (BOP) of the 1 X 800 MW Singareni Super Thermal Power Project, Stage II, Mancherial, Telangana. The domestic order is likely to be finalised in 38 months.

This order, won by Power Mech, will include design, engineering, manufacture, inspection, testing, painting, supply/delivery, and proper packaging at the project site. It covers transportation to the site, receipt, unloading, storage, security, and handling on-site.

Furthermore, it will include complete civil and structural works, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, final painting on-site, trial run, PG test, handover, completion of facilities, annual maintenance until handover, training, guarantee and warranty, defect liability period, and so on.

This is the first order the company has declared to the exchanges in almost two months.

In August, Power Mech secured a Rs 370.8 crore order from Adani Power subsidiary Mahan Energen Ltd.

At 1:19 pm, the shares of Power Mech were trading 0.14% higher at Rs 2,826 on NSE.
