Shares of Bharat Forge Ltd ended 2% lower after touching a dayβs high of Rs 1,270 on 17th October. This occurred despite the company announcing an extended partnership with Rolls-Royce to manufacture and supply fan blades for the luxury brandβs Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines.
Bharat Forge and Rolls-Royce first began collaborating in 2020, when Bharat Forge started supplying parts for the Pearl 700 engines.
For Rolls-Royce, this expanded partnership supports its goal of doubling supply chain sourcing from India by 2030.
Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, stated that the collaboration reflects both companiesβ commitment to engineering excellence. Furthermore, it signifies a long-term partnership.
Bharat Forge also helped Rolls-Royce deliver its first zero-defect fan blade in 2024.
Rolls-Royce stated that Bharat Forge has been a key supplier since the inception of the Pearl 700 Programme. It is the first and only company in India capable of producing such advanced, precision aerospace components for the Pearl engine family.
At 3:30 PM, the shares of Bharat Forge ended 1.98% lower at Rs 1,240.20 on NSE.
