Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd were trading in the green and 1% higher on 4 December after the company announced securing an order from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority. 

In its regulatory filing, the company said that they have received a Rs 48.78-crore project from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority. The work order is for the selection of a system integrator to design, develop, and implement the Regional Information System for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region as well as the Urban Observatory at MMRDA in Mumbai.  

The order was awarded by a domestic body and falls into the project category. The execution period continues until 28 December 2027.

Earlier, in September, RailTel received a Rs 70.94-crore contract from Nashik Municipal Smart City Development Corporation Ltd. The project, which must be finished by 31 December 2026, entails selecting an implementation agency for the supply, laying, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Nashik and Trimbakeshwar city network backbones, as well as operations and maintenance services. 

In addition, the company has got a Rs 32.51 crore order from Panvel Municipal Corporation.  This contract, due to be completed on 19 March 2031 covers the supply, installation, and services for delivering connection (SDWAN-based internet lease line/MPLS line) to various Panvel Safe City Project locations.

At 12:04 pm, the shares of RailTel Corporation of India were trading 0.30% higher at Rs 333.05 on NSE.
