Shares of ACME Solar Holdings Ltd are trading flat after touching a dayβs high of Rs 215.94 on 20th January. This is despite the firm saying on Monday, 19th January, that it has commissioned an additional 12 MW of wind power capacity through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd. The project is located in Surendranagar, Gujarat.
With the latest commissioning, the projectβs total operational capacity has risen to 68 MW, out of the planned 100 MW. The capacity is being developed in phases.
The wind project is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and has been built using ACME Solarβs in-house engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities. It uses 4 MW wind turbines supplied by SANY.
Power generated from the project will be sold under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.
The commissioning of the additional 12 MW capacity was witnessed by officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited. Furthermore, the event was recorded in the official commissioning minutes, the company said. The formal commissioning certificate is expected to be issued soon.
On the financial front, ACME Solar reported a consolidated EBITDA of Rs 534 crore in Q2FY26, up 108% year-over-year. Meanwhile, profit after tax rose 652% year-over-year to Rs 115 crore.
