In an exchange filing dated July 9, the company said it is developing a platform called Bade BhaiSab

Shares of Golden Legand Leasing and Finance climbed nearly 7% from the day’s low on Thursday, July 9, touching Rs 9.79 on the BSE.

In an exchange filing dated July 9, the company said it is developing a platform called Bade BhaiSab. This is designed as an AI enabled tool to help individuals deal with debt related financial challenges through technology.

According to the filing, the platform will study a user’s financial profile, using information shared with consent, and then offer personalised debt resolution plans along with financial counselling.

The idea is to help borrowers manage their obligations in a more structured way. The company said this platform is meant to work alongside its existing digital lending business.

It aims to encourage responsible borrowing and improve how the company engages with its customers. Golden Legand added that development is progressing as planned, and the platform will launch once it is fully ready and operationally sound.

It also said it will keep the exchanges informed of any material updates on the launch. This isn’t the first such move by the company recently.

It had earlier announced the incorporation of Gullakkart Private Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary. This new arm will focus on strengthening the digital lending platform while also engaging in digital payment solutions.

The company plans to apply for a Prepaid Payment Instrument licence from the RBI as well, subject to regulatory approval.

Golden Legand has seen a fair bit of volatility in recent months. The stock has gained over 5% in a week and around 3% in a month, but it remains down close to 16% over six months and about 18% on a year to date basis.

The stock opened at Rs 9.46, against Wednesday’s close of Rs 9.27, dipped to a low of Rs 9.11, then staged a sharp comeback to touch Rs 9.79.

But most of that rally didn’t hold. By the close, shares of Golden Legand Leasing and Finance were back down to Rs 9.35 on the BSE, up just 0.86% for the day.
