Bajel Projects touched a day’s high of Rs 190.70 on the NSE on Wednesday, after signing a large transmission line deal in Egypt.
The deal is with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, known as EETC, for building two sections of a 500 kV overhead transmission line in Cairo.
Bajel Projects said the combined order is worth more than Rs 400 crore and falls under its highest order category.
The project is part of Egypt’s plan to strengthen its national power grid and support rising industrial demand in the country.
The agreement was signed in Cairo by Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and CEO of Bajel Projects, with India’s Ambassador to Egypt and senior EETC officials present at the ceremony.
Ganesh called it ‘a defining moment for Bajel Projects’, adding that it reflects global confidence in the company’s engineering and execution capabilities.
This win builds on Bajel’s growing presence outside India. The company already runs a joint venture in Saudi Arabia and recently set up a subsidiary in Abu Dhabi, and this Egypt order adds another market to that regional push.
Bajel Projects had already been building up its order book at home too. As of March this year, its outstanding EPC order book stood at Rs 3,442 crore, up 15% from the year before, while FY26 revenue came in at Rs 2,792 crore, its strongest since listing.
At market close on 22 July, Bajel Projects shares settled at Rs 184.57 on the NSE, up 4.24% from the previous close of Rs 177.06.
The stock remains well below its 52-week high of Rs 261.50, hit last July, though comfortably above its 52-week low of Rs 135.10 touched in March.
