Poojaa Precision IPO Opens July 28, Price Band Rs 285-301

Poojaa Precision will open its Rs 160 crore IPO for subscription on 28 July

Poojaa Precision will open its Rs 160 crore IPO for subscription on 28 July, priced at Rs 285 to Rs 301 a share, ahead of its BSE SME debut.

The Pune-based auto parts maker is issuing 53.1 lakh fresh equity shares, so all the money raised goes to the company rather than existing shareholders cashing out.

The issue closes on 30 July, with allotment expected on 31 July and listing set for 4 August. The lot size is 400 shares, but retail investors need to apply for at least 2 lots, or 800 shares, taking the minimum investment to about Rs 2,40,800 at the top of the band.

Poojaa Precision makes aluminium die-cast and precision-machined parts, mostly for cars and two-wheelers, but also for agriculture, defence, energy and healthcare equipment.

In FY26, it supplied components to 58 customers across India and abroad from two plants in Chakan, near Pune, with a combined melting capacity of 13,800 tonnes a year.

Most of the IPO money has a clear purpose. Rs 106.3 crore will fund a third manufacturing unit, Rs 30 crore is earmarked for working capital, and the rest covers general corporate expenses.

The company is also setting up a fourth facility to start making magnesium components, a newer line it’s developing alongside its aluminium business.

On the numbers, growth has been steady. Revenue rose 32.4% to Rs 293.9 crore in FY26 from Rs 222 crore the year before, while profit climbed 29.1% to Rs 30.9 crore from Rs 23.9 crore.

It counts listed players like Alicon Castalloy, RICO Auto Industries and Endurance Technologies among its peers.

Promoters currently hold 99.16% of the company, and since this is a fresh issue rather than an offer for sale, their stake won’t get diluted much once the new shares are allotted.

Grey market activity has picked up ahead of the listing, with unofficial premiums climbing from around Rs 150 on 23 July to about Rs 195 a day later.

That’s an unregulated indicator though, and it tends to swing a lot before listing day, so treat it as a rough sentiment gauge rather than a forecast.
