Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has secured a Rs 8,500 crore power transmission project in Andhra Pradesh, marking one of its biggest order wins this year.
The announcement kept the company’s shares in focus as investors welcomed another major addition to its growing project pipeline.
The project will develop a transmission system to supply electricity to upcoming green hydrogen and green ammonia projects in the Vizag region. Awarded under the Government of India’s Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, the project is expected to meet an estimated power demand of 4,500 MW while also supporting new industrial and data centre developments in the Pendurthi-Vizag corridor.
The transmission network will add 1,582 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and 10,500 MVA of transformation capacity. The project is scheduled to be completed within 30 months, strengthening the region’s power infrastructure and supporting India’s clean energy ambitions.
This is another significant milestone for Adani Energy Solutions, which has been steadily expanding its transmission business through competitive bidding. With this latest win, the company’s transmission order book has crossed Rs 80,000 crore, providing strong revenue visibility for the coming years.
The project also aligns with India’s push to become a global hub for green hydrogen production. By building the infrastructure needed to deliver reliable power to these projects, Adani Energy Solutions is expected to play an important role in supporting the country’s transition towards cleaner energy and sustainable industrial growth.
At 3:30 pm, the shares of Adani Energy Solutions closed 1.08% higher at Rs 1,702 on the NSE.
