Paytm has partnered with ClearTax to make Income Tax Return (ITR) filing more affordable and accessible for millions of users.

Through the collaboration, Paytm users can now file their ITR directly on the app with plans starting at just Rs 11, ahead of the tax filing deadline.

The service is designed to simplify the filing process by automatically fetching tax details from the Income Tax Department. It also recommends the appropriate ITR form and tax regime based on the user’s profile, reducing the time and effort involved in filing returns. This makes the process easier, especially for first-time taxpayers.

The partnership also offers additional features for investors. Users can import trading data from more than 80 brokers with a single click, after which capital gains are calculated automatically. Every filing, including the Rs 11 plan, also comes with complimentary notice protection, giving users access to ClearTax’s support if they receive a tax notice after filing their return.

To use the service, customers can open the Paytm app, navigate to the ‘Free Tools’ section, select ‘File your ITR with ClearTax’, verify their email using an OTP, and begin the filing process. The feature is now live on the Paytm app.

The initiative comes as the Income Tax Return filing season enters its final phase. By offering an affordable, AI-powered filing experience with expert support, Paytm and ClearTax aim to encourage more taxpayers to file their returns on time while making tax compliance simpler and more convenient.
