Aurionpro Solutions shares fell as much as 9% on Tuesday, hitting a low of ₹762.40 after the company posted weaker Q1 FY27 results.
Aurionpro is an IT and banking software company, and this quarter’s numbers fell short of what the street was looking for.
Consolidated net profit dropped 25% quarter on quarter to ₹45.86 crore, down from ₹61.5 crore in Q4 FY26. Revenue held up reasonably well, rising nearly 4% sequentially to ₹358 crore.
Margins took the bigger hit, with EBITDA declining 6.7% to ₹61.8 crore and the EBITDA margin narrowing to 17.27% from 19.2% three months earlier.
The company pointed to a few things weighing on the quarter: rising input costs tied to supply chain issues, delays in the timing of some projects, and continued disruption in the Middle East and Africa, a region where Aurionpro has a fair bit of business riding on execution.
Management expects these pressures to ease over the next couple of quarters, but flagged that ongoing tension in that region could still slow project delivery.
There was some good news buried in the update too. Aurionpro added 23 new customers during the quarter.
Its banking and fintech business grew 4.7% to ₹201 crore, while its transit-focused Technology Innovation Group grew a stronger 8.4% to ₹157 crore.
This follows a solid FY26, in which full-year revenue rose 20.3% to ₹1,411 crore and the order book closed the year above ₹1,800 crore.
Just two months ago, the company also bagged one of its largest US contracts to date, a three-year, $33 million deal through its American arm to provide software and AI support to a digital insurance payments platform.
Looking ahead, Aurionpro has told investors to expect heavier upfront spending in FY27, as larger projects require more working capital while they ramp up.
As of around 9:35 am, the stock was trading near ₹765.35 on the NSE, still down over 8.52% for the day.
Aurionpro shares are now down close to 27% so far this year and have lost more than 42% over the past twelve months.
