The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 70 points at 24,428, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday, 30 July, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 273 points or 0.35%, and settled at 77,928, while the Nifty50 traded 0.28% higher or 66 points, closing at 24,317.

The agreement aims to speed up the development of an indigenous manufacturing process for this critical defence material.
