Coffee equipment and services company Kaapi Machines has raised Rs 50 crore in equity funding from Sedna HoReCa, a private equity-backed B2B solutions provider for the hospitality sector.

Along with the investment, the two companies have entered into a strategic partnership to accelerate Kaapi Machines’ next phase of growth.

The fresh capital will be used to expand the company’s product portfolio, strengthen manufacturing capabilities, and upgrade its technology, warehousing and after-sales service network.

Kaapi Machines also plans to explore new product categories by leveraging Sedna HoReCa’s presence in the hotel, restaurant and café (HoReCa) ecosystem.

Founded in 2007, Kaapi Machines supplies commercial coffee equipment to cafés, hotels, restaurants, corporate offices and coffee vending businesses across India. The company is the official distributor for global brands such as La Marzocco, Mahlkönig, Rancilio and Probat. It also provides café consulting, barista training, equipment maintenance and operates Something’s Brewing, an e-commerce platform for home coffee enthusiasts.

The company aims to cross Rs 150 crore in revenue during FY27, supported by rising demand for premium coffee experiences and the rapid expansion of India’s organised café and hospitality industry. The investment will also help Kaapi Machines increase local manufacturing and improve customer support across the country.

The funding reflects growing investor interest in businesses that support the broader food service ecosystem rather than only consumer-facing brands. As India’s coffee culture continues to evolve, demand for reliable equipment, technical support and specialised services is expected to increase.
